O2 offers all customers 10% compensation over network collapse - Metro.co.uk

O2 has confirmed it will compensate its customers who were affected by a network outage last week.

The company said that monthly-paying customers will be refunded ten per cent of their July subscription, which equates to three days' charges.

Meanwhile pay as you go customers who were affected by the network blunder will be given an extra ten per cent on their first top up in September.

This will see hundreds of thousands of people receive money back, with the organisation admitting that around one third of its customers were affected by the collapse of the network.

In a further attempt to make up for the blunder and win back trust, O2 will also grant all its customers, even those not affected by the fault, a £10 voucher to spend in one of its stores.
