And every part of the Motorola RAZR MAXX is protected by a splashguard coating, which even extends to the electrical boards inside, ensuring a go anywhere, do everything attitude.

Motorola RAZR MAXX also comes preloaded with the Motorola MotoCast app**, giving you the power to stream or download content from a home or work computer straight to the device so your docs, pics and music are always available - anytime, anywhere. No uploading to a third party means no wasted time or forgetting to upload that crucial presentation, and everything stays protected, right on your computer.

Samsung Galaxy S3 hits stores early... in Dubai - PC Authority
If you just can't wait to get your hands on the new Samsung Galaxy S3 you might want to book a flight to Dubai. Sammy's new superphone appears to have been let out of the gate early in the Middle East, with one Reddit user spotting the phone onsale in Dubai.
Seemingly backing up his claim, The Verge was sent snaps of a Galaxy S3 that had allegedly been bought in Dubai. The phone was on sale for AED2500 (around AUD$799). Sadly, the cost of flying from Australia to Dubai is significantly higher than this. Might be best to wait, then.
While you're counting the hours until launch day, check out our hands-on with the Galaxy S3.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 gets S Pen slot - Electronista
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 case redesigned
The forthcoming, and heavily re-engineered, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has had its case redesigned to accommodate the S Pen. Although the smaller Galaxy Note 5.3 has a slot for the S Pen, it took observers by surprise at Mobile World Congress in February when Samsung first revealed the device without an in-built location to stow it. Since its Barcelona unveiling, Samsung has completely revamped the Note 10.1 and has now also shoehorned the same 1.4GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core processor from the Galaxy S III into the device.
The extended delay between the first unveiling of the Galaxy Note 10.1 and its future launch was said to have been motivated by Samsungs desire to leapfrog the new iPad in terms of performance. With Apple seemingly locked into an annual upgrade cycle for its mobile products, it is now not expected to debut a fully quad-core iPad until at least early next year. Although some had expected Apple to launch a quad-core iPad in January this year, Apple delivered a revised version of its A5 dual-core processor from the iPad 2, but tweaked it with a quad-core GPU.
With the unexpected popularity of Samsungs Galaxy Note 5.3, in part attributed to its tailor-made S Pen, Samsung appears to have shifted its tablet strategy to the Galaxy Note 10.1. The addition of the new system architecture as well as the case redesign is hoped to boost its modest tablet sales. Samsung has revealed that the Galaxy Note 5.3 has shipped in excess of 5 million units; however, it has so far been coy about how many Galaxy Tabs it has sold, having admitted that they were not selling as well as hoped.
The latest pictures of the revised Galaxy Note 10.1 also show that Samsung has also prepped a special S Pen holder, which is designed to accommodate the redesigned S Pen for the new Note 10.1. Apparently, Samsung has made the new S Pen much thinner, so it could fit the S Pen slot into its design. The S Pen holder will make the S Pen easier and more comfortable to hold when in use. Motorola Dreams Up a Sweeter TV Interface - TechNewsWorld
Motorola Mobility (NYSE: MMI) this week unveiled its DreamGallery video navigation software for content providers at a cable industry trade show.
DreamGallery lets users search hundreds of channels in seconds, bookmark and store their favorite content in one place, and discover new content tailored to their preferences.
It's written in HTML5, so it will offer a consistent user interface across connected TVs, PCs and mobile devices, Motorola Mobility claims.
Content providers can tailor offerings to users' preferences through DreamGallery. They will also be able to create and deliver merchandising and advertising easily.
"Cable providers are [Motorola Mobility's] likely initial target because they haven't shown well against [Verizon Wireless's] FiOS or [AT&T's] U-Verse in terms of user experience, although they're better in terms of bandwidth," Rob Enderle, principal analyst at the Enderle Group, told TechNewsWorld. "This could help them close a significant usability gap."
"I would jump for joy to get rid of my clunky Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSK) interface," said Andrew Eisner, director of community and content at Retrevo.com. "It's slow, it hangs up, it's not the friendliest environment, so I'd welcome something as slick-looking as DreamGallery."
What's a DreamGallery?
DreamGallery is a solution based on the cloud and HTML that's aimed at service providers. It lets them deliver what Motorola Mobility calls "immersive" and "personalized" TV experiences to consumers. DreamGallery has a portal server that lets service providers customize the on-screen interface to each subscriber and update it on the fly with new services, features and applications using HTML5.
Service providers can use DreamGallery's fully extensible software development kit (SDK) to develop client-side applications and customized graphical user interfaces. Users can customize a UI once for all devices regardless of the OS, Motorola Mobility claims. This lets service providers deliver a consistent user interface across connected TVs, PCs, smartphones and tablets.
It's doubtful that DreamGallery will be able to run across various OSes without needing modification, "but they should be able to get close," Enderle remarked. "They'll likely need to take into account the differences in hardware to assure an optimum experience but the work will be far less than it would be were they not using HTML5."
Still, there might be quite a bit of work involved because "there are all kinds of compatibility issues," Retrevo.com's Eisner told TechNewsWorld.
DreamGallery is part of the Motorola Medios suite of software solutions launched in 2010.
Teaming Up With the Big G
With Google's (Nasdaq: GOOG) purchase of Motorola Mobility now complete, the question is how or whether DreamGallery will fit into Google TV, which will run the Android OS.
It's likely that DreamGallery will be merged into Google TV "within the next 24 months," Enderle speculated. However, he's not convinced that would be a good idea because of the "lack of success" for Google TV.
It's not clear whether Google will then restrict DreamGallery to TVs running Android. Google did not respond to our request for comment for this story.
Sweet Dreams Are Made of This?
Offering new technology is one thing; getting it accepted by the market is quite another. "I think [DreamGallery]'s interesting, but I'm skeptical about how soon or how widely it will be accepted by carriers," Retrevo.com's Eisner observed. "I'll believe it when I see it."
In fact, Motorola first showcased DreamGallery in November at the 2011 SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.
DreamGallery's success will "depend on both adoption and how badly the cable providers break it," Enderle said. Cable companies "are very slow with new technology and tend to break it, so I wouldn't hold my breath for this to show up within 12 months, or for it to initially look as good as it could."
Some cable providers in Europe are already using DreamGallery, Motorola said. Another user is Canada's Shaw Communications, which began using DreamGallery last year. Shaw used Motorola's DCX320 set-top box for services using DreamGallery.
Motorola Mobility did not respond to our request for further details.
Clueful iPhone App Spies On Your Other Apps - Huffington Post
A few months back, it was revealed that several major iPhone apps, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, were sending users' data to their servers -- without notifying them. Thankfully, after that debacle, Apple began requiring all app developers to get "explicit" permission before accessing a user's info, but for those of you who want to find out whether or not your apps are still sneaking around behind your back, well ... now, there's an app for that.
Released on May 22 by antivirus software vendor Bitdefender, Clueful claims to be "the world's first and only app" that lets iOS device users discover which apps may be accessing data -- such as their location, address book and even social network accounts -- that they don't have permission to view.
"App developers can ask for, and receive, access to your precise location, your contact list and more information about you when you install their products on your iPhone," said Alexandru Catalin Cosoi, a chief security researcher at Bitdefender, in a press release. "Your iPhone is probably the most personal device you own, holding vast amounts of information about what you do, who you are and where you go. Clueful tells you what kinds of private information apps can and do access so you can make an informed decision whether to use them."
In addition, Clueful will show you which of your apps may be draining your battery, blasting you with ads, tracking your usage through different networks and more; you can even filter Clueful's list by which apps track your location, which can read your address book, etc. As CNET points out, you can also use Clueful to research what information an app may be able to access before purchasing it from the App Store. Check out a screenshot of the app in action below.
LOOK:
According to TechCrunch, the Clueful app is able to do all of this through the "Clueful Cloud," which Bitdefender created by testing tens of thousands of apps and then developing a database revealing information on how each of them works. The "Clueful Cloud" then shares this info with you through the Clueful app.
If you're interested in grabbing the app for yourself, you can purchase it for $3.99 through the App Store. Would you buy the Clueful app? Are you still worried about your app privacy? Share your thoughts with us in the comments below!

iPhone 5 tipped to have 4-inch 'widescreen' display - Crave
Apple's next iPhone will have a taller display for widescreen movie viewing, according to reports.
9to5Mac reckons the Californian company is testing a glossy new blower that sports a 3.999-inch screen (but let's just go ahead and call it 4 shall we?), and packs more pixels than the current 3.5-inch display.
The iPhone 4S has a 640x960-pixel resolution. The horizontal resolution is apparently going to stay the same, but the vertical resolution will be beefed up to 1,136 pixels.
That's an extra 176 pixels, meaning that when you spin the iPhone on its side you'll get something very close to a 16:9 aspect ratio. That means you'll be able to play video on the iPhone 5 without having to choose between annoying black bars and cropping the frame.
The site additionally reckons that Apple is testing versions of iOS 6 that will take advantage of the extra screen real estate, cramming in a fifth row of app icons on the home screen.
Intriguing stuff. Now that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has broken cover, all eyes are on Tim Cook and his cronies to see what Apple's next iPhone will look like. The smart phone trend this last year has been for bigger and bigger displays, and while Apple's not known for following tech trends, the iPhone 4S does look tiny compared to current behemoths such as the HTC One X or Lumia 900.
The iPhone 5 will likely get an airing in October, following the iPhone 4S' showing at the same time last year.
What are you hoping to see from Apple's next mobile? A new design? A more powerful processor? Leave your predictions in the comments or over on our Facebook wall.
Motorola In the Middle: Big Success or Failure Could Hurt Google - Top Tech News
In a Tuesday morning blog post, Google CEO Larry Page opined about how the phones in our pockets have become supercomputers that are changing the way we live. He pointed out how it's now possible to do things we used to think were magic -- or only possible on Star Trek. Things like getting directions on the spot, watching a video on YouTube or taking a picture and sharing it instantly with friends all over the world.
"Motorola is a great American tech company that has driven the mobile revolution, with a track record of over 80 years of innovation, including the creation of the first cell phone," Page wrote. "We all remember Motorola's StarTAC, which at the time seemed tiny and showed the real potential of these devices. And as a company who made a big, early bet on Android
, Motorola has become an incredibly valuable partner to Google."
Motorola Gets New CEO
Although Page didn't offer much insight on what Google will do with Motorola, he did announce that Sanjay Jha, who was responsible for building the company and placing that big bet on Android, has stepped down as CEO. Long-time Googler Dennis Woodside has taken the reins.
After extolling Woodside's virtues in the blog he turned his attention back to technology, indicating that Motorola would still make mobile phones, saying: "It's a well-known fact that people tend to overestimate the impact technology will have in the short term, but underestimate its significance in the longer term.
"Many users coming online today may never use a desktop machine , and the impact of that transition will be profound -- as will the ability to just tap and pay with your phone. That's why it's a great time to be in the mobile business, and why I'm confident Dennis and the team at Motorola will be creating the next generation of mobile devices that will improve lives for years to come."
Motorola's Ultimate Fate
We caught up with Avi Greengart, an analyst at Current Analysis, to get his take on what happens next with Google and Motorola. He told us he's watching to see if Google uses Motorola just for its copyrights and patents or runs it as a genuine business -- and, if the latter becomes the reality, whether or not Motorola can succeed as an independent business.
