iPhone 5 leaked images are fake - PC Advisor
The latest set of leaked Apple iPhone 5 images have fooled many but are in fact faked.
Latest batch of iPhone 5 images look good but are rendered
The crop of images circulated round the web yesterday with many sites saying they are authentic. However, the photos posted on sharing site Flickr were rendered in modelling software Rhinoceros 3D.
The images depict what the iPhone 5 could look like based on various pieces of leaked information, including a 4in screen and a smaller dock connector. It also shows a metal rear cover, bottom mounted headphone port and larger speakers.
It is still unknown as to when the iPhone 5 will launch and even if it will be called the iPhone 5. It's likely that the smartphone will tip up this autumn, possibly September, in-line with the launch of iOS 6 which Apple announced this week at its worldwide developer conference (WWDC).

June 14 (Reuters) - Finnish phone maker Nokia said on Thursday it would cut 10,000 more jobs and sell its luxury handset unit Vertu, its latest move to slash costs as it loses market share and burns through cash.

FEBRUARY 2011
Nokia announces it is teaming up with Microsoft Corp for its new smartphones and dumping its own Symbian platform. Elop confirms the company will cut jobs in Finland and elsewhere.
APRIL 2011
Nokia says it will axe 7,000 jobs and outsource its Symbian software development unit to cut 1 billion euros in costs.
The move includes laying off 4,000 staff and transferring another 3,000 to services firm Accenture - a total of 12 percent of its phone unit workforce. Accenture takes over Nokia's Symbian software activities.
SEPTEMBER 2011
Nokia says it will close its plant in Cluj, Romania -- slashing 2,200 jobs -- and cut 1,300 jobs in its location and commerce business unit which develops maps for mobile phones.
OCTOBER 2011

FaceTime over 3G and ‘flyover’ exclusive to iPhone 4S and New iPad 3 - Know Your Mobile
FaceTime over 3G, a new feature of Apple’s recently announced iOS 6 update, will only be available on devices running the company’s A5 chipsets or higher.
So far the only devices that are supported are the iPhone 4S and the new iPad 3 – both run on Apple’s A5 and A5X chipsets, respectively.
This will no doubt be a blow to many iPhone 4 and iPad 2 users. It’s also one of the first instances, in recent memory, where Apple has left a large portion of its users out in the cold on account of a software update.
The new ‘Flyover’ feature inside Apple’s reimagined Maps application also requires an A5 chipset to function, according to Apple’s official iOS 6 product page.
'While iPhone 4 owners won't get FaceTime over 3G, turn-by-turn directions or Flyover, they will have access to shared Photo streams when iOS 6 launches this year,’ reports Apple Insider.
The iPhone 3GS will get iOS 6 but will miss many of its core features including turn-by-turn directions, Flyover and, of course, FaceTime over 3G. Given the age of the device, however, it’s hardly something to be lamented. Google take note – three years support should be the industry standard.
