We’ve already posted a couple of Nokia Lumia 710 deals this week, but time for a news-o-version of the sexy price cut.
The Nokia Lumia 710, hailed as the one of “first real Windows Phones” alongside the Lumia 800 at launch last October, is now available for less than a hundred quid.
You can grab the Nokia Lumia 710 from mobiles.co.uk for £99.90, or Carphone Warehouse for £99.95. In either case, an initial top-up of £10 is required, and you’ve a choice of T-Mobile, Vodafone or Orange PAYG.
At Carphone Warehouse, the Nokia Lumia 710 was £279.95 between February 8 and April 5 this year, then £129.95 until June 1. That’s quite the price drop in just a few months.
Of course, the Nokia Lumia 610 should – in theory - be even cheaper. It’ll drop soon with Windows Phone Tango, which lowers the rigid minimum spec requirements, paving the way for 256MB of RAM. Confusingly, however, initial estimates make the Nokia Lumia 610 more expensive than the Lumia 710. What the...?
Nokia has boldly backed Windows Phone 7 as its “primary smartphone platform”, however recent estimates put Microsoft’s mobile market share at around 2%. Oh dear.
