New Delhi: The tech world is infamous for its leaks and very few phone companies are able to save images its new models from being out on the internet before its launch.
This time Apple’s upcoming model of iPhone- iPhone 5’s images have been released much before its expected announcement in June this year.
Two tech blogs have released pictures that they claim are the upcoming iPhone models. The photos also suggest that the next-generation iPhone will have the same width, but has a taller screen.
According to the tech blog 9to5Mac, next-generation iPhone will come in two colours- Black and White.
The blog further states, “From a production standpoint, it appears that the metal antenna band is molded into the metal backplates. We assume this is Apple's way of creating a unibody enclosure for mobile devices. Apple introduced unibody notebooks in late 2008, and the purpose of the unibody is to allow Apple to produce thinner and lighter, yet stronger, devices. Now that most of the phone's external elements are one piece, Apple is likely able to squeeze more into the iPhone internally. Apple needs all the space they can get with their plans of producing LTE smartphones with proper battery life."

A leaked image gives us a first glimpse of the iPhone5 - and anyone who was waiting for a bigger screen may finally have their prayers answered.
Established Apple site 9to5Mac revealed a leaked image of what is claimed to be the iPhone5, and the site - which has a good record for reporting accurate leaks from Apple - has a plethora of details about the new model.
For the first time, the iPhone shakes off the 3.5inch screen-size, bowing to the latest generation of Android smartphones, which over the course of the last two years have shifted the typical screen from three-to up to four or even five inches.
With Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference due in San Fransisco on Monday, June 11, iPhone fans are hoping to get either a glimpse or a confirmed release date in just a few weeks.
It's coming! 9to5Mac has released this image, purported to be the iPhone 5. Features that can be spotted include a much larger screen, and a smaller dock connector
9to5Mac estimates the new screen size at a very specific 3.999inches, with a resolution of 1136x640, giving the screen the 'Retina'-like feel of the new iPad.
There appears to be a choice of colours - a black model and a white model - as has been the case with the last few models of iPhone.
Other hints given away by the photo - and more are available at 9to5Mac - are that Apple has redesigned the dock connector to be smaller.
This may end up making older accessories - from charger cables to speaker docks - incompatible, but there will likely be adapters released to ensure older accessories still work.
Speaking of compatibility, developers may need to update their apps to take advantage of the larger size, or there may be a situation similar to when the first iPad was launched, when iPhone apps would appear with a big black border around the age.
The iPhone 4S was released in the UK and US on October 14 last year, and Apple is expected to follow suit with an Autumn launch this year - although, as ever, the company is staying notoriously tight-lipped.
Following the death of co-founder Steve Jobs last year, new CEO Tim Cook will lead the WDC conference this year, to the gathered developers about the future of Apple, upcoming products and changes to both Mac software software and iOS, the mobile version of Apple's operating system.

Two weeks ago Apple registered the iPhone5.com domain name, amid rumours that the next model is the final model approved by Jobs.
Bloomberg cited a source 'with knowledge of the plans' surrounding the new iPhone who claimed that Mr Jobs played a key role in the development of the device, even while on medical leave from his company.
A shakeup in the design of a larger-screen iPhone could go a long way in boosting its 'wow' factor, convincing fans to trade in their old iPhones for new ones, said Shaw Wu, an analyst at Sterne Agee.
'Not only do users pay for features, but they also pay for aesthetics and design.
'That's as important, or more important, than features,' Mr Wu said.
'People love the current design - but it's 18 months old.'
With the release of Android devices such as the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3, packing quad-core processors and almost five-inch screens, the impetus lies with Apple to innovate and revolutionise the market once more.
4-inch iPhone screen rumour reaffirmed by leaked schematic - Itproportal
Evidence continues to mount that the next iPhone will have a larger screen.
The folks at MacRumors got their hands on an image of a purported design schematic for the front panel of the next-generation iPhone. The leaked schematic appears to show a longer phone with a different aspect ratio than the iPhone 4S.
The diagram jives with images of case parts that leaked just yesterday. Those images showed an iPhone that is taller and thinner, with a much smaller dock connector, and relocated headphone jack.
According to MacRumors, the leaked schematic shows the so-called "active area mask," where the display will be, measuring in at 3.55 inches high and 2.02 inches wide, corresponding to an opening measuring about 4.08 inches diagonally. Apple iPhone displays have typically measured slightly smaller than their front panel openings, so the part falls in line with the rampant 4-inch screen rumour.
Moreover, the aspect ratio for the device in question is roughly 16:9, supporting past rumours that the next iPhone is going to get taller, but not any wider. In comparison, all iPhone models to date have sported a 3.5-inch display with 3:2 aspect ratio. This change will likely impact third-party software, requiring developers to tweak their apps.
The new leaks ironically come as Apple CEO Tim Cook yesterday said the company will be "doubling down" on product secrecy.
Other rumours about the next gen iPhone indicate that Apple plans to swap out the glass back it currently uses on the iPhone 4S, in favour of a metal back - possibly made of a super-tough alloy called Liquidmetal. The updated phone is also expected to have a smaller, pill-shaped dock connector that has fewer pins than the existing 30-pin dock connector, possibly only 16.
Meanwhile, if you're hoping for Apple to unveil its next iPhone at the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) next month, then you might want to think again. Apple didn't unveil the iPhone 4S until last October, and most rumours claim the tech giant is planning to keep a similar timeframe for the launch of its next iPhone.
